No more regular TV! Cut off! No more movies, no more sports and no more news. Well, okay, I feel better not watching Fox news but I like TV – we are OnlineTV after all!

What happened? Well, the FCC, an unelected group of mongrels who decide how to tax the free airwaves have decided to sell off the frequencies that TV used to broadcast on and force broadcasters to go digital. What that means to us is we have only a few choices to watch any TV, buy a new expensive digital TV, get a conversion box that does a terrible job as you now need a special antenna or go get Direct TV.

I checked out Direct TV and really liked the service. Not only do you get more channels than the new digital rabbit ears and a conversion box (costing 30 to 100 bucks) but also you get more channels than cable at a much cheaper price. Direct TV offers you some of the sweetest deals to get you back your TV viewing!

As you know OnlineTV is about entertainment and you can get all the movies you can eat from Direct TV including HBO, Showtime, Starz and more! Sports? Yeah, that is entertainment too and the Direct TV Deals for sports are beyond any other offers out there.

Direct TV offers you the opportunity to get a digital recorder so you can watch what you want when you want and avoid buying that digital conversion box for your set that gives you bad signals. Their box and service will give you over 100 real HD channels and 100s more regular digital TV! Something you can’t find on cable systems. They also offer you Internet at high speeds so you can watch our entertainment channels too! You even get Satellite Radio!

So, if you are stuck in the rut from the television conversion to digital you now have the ability to get out of it and get incredible services and a great set-top box free which will help you record over 200 hours of TV to watch whenever you want. Don’t be stuck watching snow on your TV! Check out Direct TV and you will find a great deal vs. the other options for digital TV and get a great digital video recorder for the effort.

Video Websites by the Hundreds!

Online TV is a major hit.

Since 1996 OnlineTV.com has given the Internet the most entertainment.

Now the OnlineTV Guide has become the top video guide on the Internet providing community niche video websites. While the huge repositories of video on the Internet had defied the user an ability to find quality niche video many sites are happy to provide that service.

Created and staffed with people interested in your interests these sites provide community and entertainment tailored to you. The Online TV video guide brings you to these sites easily with powerful search starting right from the home page. It does not matter if you like to browse categories or use advanced search tools you can find sites that have what you are looking for.

Now hundreds of sites in over 100 categories provide you with video content and community all from one place. An armchair wannabe dancer whose limited claim to fame is a series of anal negativity proffered on her dance blog Article19. Michelle is one of those people who have just enough knowledge where an over inflated ego fills in too many blanks and uses it in a destructive manner. Worse than a know it all, as a sponge, she only knows what fits her empty agenda through the limited capabilities of an ill equipped intellect.

We are not sure what psychological traumas have brought her to the bombastic somersaults that viciously lash out on the dancing community but have had the unfortunate experience of tasting the ignorant infant in all her glory upfront and personal. Lucky for us we do not have to take her serious and her faux attempt at intellectualism fails in the technology world history where 1+1 is 2 and not debatable as art might be. I felt sorry to find blogs and read complaints of many dancers who were devastated from the nasty tripe Lefevre deals out as ”artistic criticism.” Even in the world dance community her inane droning at Article 19 is called childish, belligerent, dangerous, derogatory, and unprofessional.

In order to expand access to dancing video sites where fans, dancers and others could find such sites we noted an older archive of fine dance material on her blog. We bypassed her main page to link to the video archive section – afte all it had nothing of her in it so it appeared very good. As usual we linked and sent an email notification to let the site owner know. Sweet Michelle had little time for such gifts and claimed “fuck off you link farming assholes,” such was the total length of her email message, gratitude, and interest in expanding dance video.

That was okay with us, we don’t mind explaining who we are. Anyone can be an idiot and anyone can hold an opinion; it was up to us to explain ourselves. So we did. At which point she not only reaffirmed her previous colorful language but also added that there was no need for her to add to her “50,000 monthly visitors”. Poor girl, she does not get 1000 hits a month and probably mostly her. Her site ranks in the unknowns – 2,000,000th? That’s okay, we remember such neophytes like Michelle Lefevre back in the mid 90’s and certainly her education on the Internet is generation X. If it did not happen recently it never happened. But we thought most people were more aware of history but not Michelle.

Yes, Michelle Lefevre thinks the Internet started only when domains appeared, a real gen-x educational dropout here. Little known to Michelle is the fact that the Internet goes back to the 1960’s and what she considers the Internet was merely a conversion from one addressing system to the current addressing system. Yep, even though easily found information the mentally challenged Michelle Lefevre said “Also, been on the internet since "1978". Quite an achievement since the first domain name wasn't registered until 1985.” This was in reference to our referring to the owner here, Rick Siegel, being on the Internet since 1978. So for her very limited mind no one could be on the Internet prior to the DNS system being in place. All the time we used bangs (!) to route were our imagination or her ignorance? Is this not a limited intelligence claiming ultimate knowledge? This woman is so full of herself reality has no chance of finding space to permeate. Michelle Lefevre claims to be a debunker, but her bunk is so thick it clogs the mind. Michelle Lefevre glass is so full of rancid water there is no room for real information. All this while was she trying once to expand her dancing website or dance as a whole? Michelle Lefevre knows very little about people, relations, dancing or websites and cares only about a stroked ego and her feeling of superiority. We do not fall for her guff and find her repugnant.

The thing here is that we went and searched her favorite search engine, Google, to find out about her and all we found was a woman whose history was of abusing dancers with anal retentive pontifications from her keyboard. She is a dancing fool! A destructive force in her industry playing knowledgeable – she talks the distorted talk of one who needs to tear others to feel good and cant dance the dance herself.

So, we figured we would let you and all the dancers know why we do not list Article 19’s video archive anymore. For those whose lives are entwined in the dance world you can now know and point to the fact that this woman knows nothing and when she pontificates it is from a vacuum. For those who depend on us to find cool video sites cared for by people who care about your niche we have done you a service by removing this obnoxious woman’s site from the guide. Michelle Lefevre has created a toxic wasteland at Article19 where only those who play up to her over-inflated ego can find a shred of humanity. It would be beyond pale to recommend such a site where the owner cannot create a welcome atmosphere for the dance audience.

Dance on and check out some cool dance video sites that are NOT Article19 or anything to do with the thing called Michelle Lefevre. These sites have cool webmasters and great videos making a postive manifestation for the global dance community.

Randy Penn (when you need a Randy pen)
Editor

OnlineTV Visions of the Future Today

onlinetv Onlinetv Video Guide online tv video Article19

NYCTV 10 Years!

NYCTV OnlineTV Networks About NYCTV

NYCTV was formed in early 1998 as part of the programming for the community of New York and surrounding area via IP platforms and forms an integral part of the OnlineTV Networks. When you look for video websites you are not really looking for just video. You have your needs and desires and curiosity to fulfill. These are your niche topics and that is the stuff that you will gravitate to even if you are on a video website with a smorgasbord of topics to choose from.

What happens to these huge compendiums of video are the good stuff is lost between the billions of garbage uploads with similar tags and descriptions made for deception. You end up seeing a lot of garbage and a couple gems if you are lucky.

The things that tickle our fancy maybe not the same that tickle editors at YouTube. So we are left with searching again to find people who are focusing on the things we like. Back to the search engines to do bigger sentences to find what we want? Nope, there is a better way.

The new Online TV Guide has opened a portal to the best in niche video websites. If you want to find video websites that have more personality to offer than a clone-tube then you have to give this site a try.

Updated several times a week with new finds they scout to find sites that have a niche market. Above that the sites have to have owners that are actively and enthusiastically working on their specialty. This is what the Internet net was designed to do. Bring you to the things you wanted in an easy and direct way. You can spend the hours trying to find the sites on the major search engines. Everyone is there somewhere. But it is a struggle and that is why a hand edited video search guide is just what the doctor ordered.

The Online TV Guide does not stream video but guides you to the sites that curate video specialties. You might want to know about horses, xtreme sports, college football, miniature houses, dental care, jobs, video classifieds, heavy metal music, teachers tubes, cold blooded creatures, which leads to serious political or the not so serious it is all there. If it's not there yet you can even submit a site for inclusion with no problem. Membership is free and assures that real people and not auto-robots make submissions. Commenting and voting do not need membership, just participation. The search is there and the game is on!

Find video websites at Online TV Guide.

OnlineTV Visions of the Future Today

onlinetv Onlinetv Video Guide online tv video

Ride The Niche Video Market Sunami To Success

When the tides roll in there is very little to do but rise and fall with the ebb and flow just like in business. When the big wave approaches you must get on it or be tossed aside as it passes you by. The modern mind understands expanding markets find their own levels and realign their creative avenues to traverse in these new conditions. The creative mind will grab onto the embryonic market before this happens to secure the top positions.

The recent flood of broadband on the Internet has caused a video deluge predicted as far back as 1996, when only a handful of people had vision for the future. Today, as the vast proliferation of media offerings overwhelm even the experienced professionals, web surfers are more in need of websites willing to sift through the millions of video offerings to produce a quality experience. Whether you are selling a cookbook, ski lessons, power saws, the latest martial arts exercises, your pets latest tricks, or your bands newest songs a niche video site is one of the newest Web3.0 tools you either avail yourself soon or build out yourself.

These collectors of specialties, with knowledge and power to organize, put the myriad pieces of media into a coherent web site that can be easily navigated. This is the first big wave as the new sites spawn from the bloated mother, and it is starting now. There is an abundant array of niche video websites already available with specialties such as: golf, medical, sports, University football, business and let your imagination go. They have content for a special niche attending to the quality and direction of their website video offerings. It is in these sites that the Internet user can find what they are looking for naturally. This is the perfect environment to build community, quality information, and entertainment on a central core for any related topics.

Mega sites may host and preserve huge collections of various media but there is no human editing or computer formula to find anything that may be of value to a typical web visitor. Like finding the proverbial needle in the haystack. The commercial viability of these mega sites relies on the fact their search returns are weighted to their own properties, displaying advertisers along with major corporate offerings in their search returns. This often gives repetitive websites that major corporations pay millions to put at the top. Everyone knows these places. There is more quality out there than what these mass media mega-sites have to offer and we hope to discover a means to find it.

Whether you are looking for a specialized golf video site, medical videos, heavy metal sites, or video-date sites the task of sifting is still not done. How does the Internet user find these niche video sites? What is the next big wave, the online TV guide for niche video sites? There seems to be a new wave of specialized sites helping there too.

One of the first streaming companies whose main web has always been a hub for niche video websites is OnlineTV. Since 1996 OnlineTV served as a hub for many of it's own niche video sites, all of which still participate in niche video just as they did back then. OnlineTV has evolved itself into a full spectrum guide for niche video websites on the Internet. Featuring a myriad selection of specialty sites that pass a strict hand review from the editors. Each site is visited and appraised of its quality and character as well as the niche they provide. Each entry is scanned weekly to make sure it keeps up its quality. Entries are created with editorials, logos, and/or captures of their web pages to give you a feel for the site. Members are able to vote, comment, and recommend the various sites adding assurance to your positive search results. You get what you are looking for. No one has to pay to be listed and the search results are fast and accurate returning niche video sites matched to your search terms.

The recent popularity of this niche video guide has seen the site promoted to http://www.OnlineTV.us URL further enhancing the visibility of the streaming sites already reviewed there. I would recommend over 100 of the media sites listed there but am prohibited from stuffing this article with too many URL's. One of those days when majesty and glory seem to be in the fresh scarlet lit air. It was a day for discovery and I wanted to find some new music, a new band to listen to and share with my friends. I went to that awe-inspiring compendium of video on the web YouTube to try and find some new Independent Music groups. To my amazement I found nothing but the big major label brand names that are everywhere anyway. I wanted to find new music!

I realized as quickly as the winter’s night closed the last sunset there was a problem. With days of work I could find a few interesting groups on YouTube, but quite frankly, the picking is very slim and I know there is a lot of good music waiting out there. Look, that is what you need to think about, look and be seen. You have to be seen to be heard and music video is the way to do that.

The first goal is to get you musicians to create more videos from your already existing tracks. My next goal is to point you in a direction where you can be easily found.

Towards that first goal I shall point you all to get on your movie maker programs that should be on the computer you peruse the Internet with. Assuming you have a PC. If not you must get access to a simple editing program. Dump your full quality soundtrack onto the timeline and start making a video. Take images of the band or make them up and create a video around your music. Something tasty.

A good place to get images and film clips that are public domain, for your new impressive video production, is the Internet Archive at http://www.archive.org/details/movies. There should be plenty there for you to work with and get your taste buds moving. I have not only pointed many a band to this treasure trove of clips but have seen the extraordinary videos that have been fashioned out of them.

If you are stuck for creative juice in video gather up your friends. Ask your visually inspired friends to do it for you. It is on your computer, easy to use and produces a file you can upload almost anywhere.

Once you have that file you must upload it everywhere. I mean everywhere. You have to get on YouTube because you just have to. At the same time you can be sure that you will never be found there. The only views will be your friends, family and you. YouTube thrives on the traffic you bring them and you will get a few strangers that may fall into your material. It is a billion to one shot but people get hit by lightning too. Do not depend on this to be your key to world stardom or discovery. You must expand out and find places to be seen.

I always suggest that musicians put their stuff up at MusicTV http://www.MusicTV.com/share/ because they are a strictly niche music site. Here you upload your music video where they convert and hosts your material in FLV format. They give you code to put the video on your own site, blog or wherever at the same time as promoting you on a music only site. You put your own keyword tags and do not have to add “music video” or “Independent Music” and can focus the keywords on what your group is all about. You can additionally select up to three categories, or genre, to display under and the search looks at tags and descriptions to provide results. The tags become relevant to search as well as the terms in your description.

You can put your music and favorites into a group and be found in groups and search. All of a sudden you pop up in searches everywhere! You get on the front page easier and you can be found. People are there for music and it is broken down to genre for them with easy search. Everything is fed to the blogosphere with RSS feeds! That means all content is broadcast to all the important news consolidators on the Internet. It is a great starting point for any group.

The best feature at MusicTV is I can find and share all the new music on this site because the site is all legal. No one is allowed to upload “Madonna” except Madonna. So that makes this a home to the Independent musician. MusicTV.com is an independent music site for independent musicians who want to be seen since 1996.

musictv OnlineTV Music

Playing Games Online

When you are out there in the online world there is a whole lot of entertainment. Some of this is based on talks with people involved and some is speculation based on my experience working in the industry, negotiating settlements and battling in court.

In the months preceding the sale of YouTube the complaints from copyright owners began to mount at a ferocious pace. Small content owners and big were lodging official takedown notices only to see their works almost immediately reappear. These issues had to be disclosed to the suitors who were sniffing around like Google but Yahoo was deep in the process as well. (News Corp inquired but since Myspace knew they were a big source of YouTube's traffic they quickly choked on the 9 digit price tag.) While the search giants had serious interest, the suitors kept stumbling over the potential enormous copyright infringement claims that were mounting.

YouTube knew they had an issue and had offered a straight revenue share deal if the complainants would call off the dogs and give them time. The media companies quickly rejected this path for two reasons. First off YouTube wasn't making any money and was fuzzy about how they would generate revenue in the future. But more important the media companies view is that there was a mountain of past infringement that YouTube had engaged in and built their business on and they felt they deserved some of this accumulated value. And who could blame them. In spite of the media "user generated" puff pieces it was clear to all involved that they generated that content by hooking up their TV tuner cards to their PCs.

It didn't take a team of Harvard trained investment bankers to come up with the obvious solution and that is to set aside a portion of the buyout offer to deal with copyright issues. It's not uncommon in transactions to have holdbacks to deal with liabilities and YouTube knew they had a big one. So the parties (including venture capital firm Sequoia Capital) agreed to earmark a portion of the purchase price to pay for settlements and/or hire attorneys to fight claims. Nearly 500 million of the 1.65 billion purchase price is not being disbursed to shareholders but instead held in escrow.

While this seemed good on paper Google attorneys were still uncomfortable with the enormous possible legal claims and speculated that maybe even 500 million may not be enough - remember were talking about hundreds of thousands of possible copyright infringements. YouTube attorneys emphasized the DMCA safe harbor provisions and pointed to the 3 full timers dedicated to dealing with takedown notices, but couldn't get G comfortable. Google wasn't worried about the small guys, but the big guys were a significant impediment to a sale. They could swing settlement numbers widely in one direction or another. So the decision was made to negotiate settlements with some of the largest music and film companies. If they could get to a good place with these companies they could get confidence from attorneys and the ever important "fairness opinion" from the bankers involved that this was a sane purchase.

Armed with this kitty of money YouTube approached the media companies with an open checkbook to buy peace. The media companies smelled a transaction when YouTube radically changed their initial 'revenue sharing' offer to one laden with cash. But even they didn't predict Google would pay such an exorbitant amount for YouTube so when YouTube started talking in multiples of tens of millions of dollars the media companies believed this to be fair and would lock in a nice Q3/Q4. [Note to self: Buy calls on media companies just prior to Q3/Q4 earnings calls.] The major labels got wind that their counterparts were in heated discussions so they used a now common trick a "most favored nation" clause to assure that if if a comparable company negotiated a better deal that they would also receive that benefit. It's a clever ploy to avoid anti-trust issues and gives them the benefit of securing the best negotiating company. They negotiated about 50 million for each major media company to be paid from the Google buyout monies.

The media companies had their typical challenges. Specifically, how to get money from YouTube without being required to give any to the talent (musicians and actors)? If monies were received as part of a license to YouTube then they would contractually obligated to share a substantial portion of the proceeds with others. For example most record label contracts call for artists to get 50% of all license deals. It was decided the media companies would receive an equity position as an investor in YouTube which Google would buy from them. This shelters all the up front monies from any royalty demands by allowing them to classify it as gains from an investment position. A few savvy agents might complain about receiving nothing and get a token amount, but most will be unaware of what transpired.

Since everyone was reaching into Google's wallet, the big G wants to make sure the YouTube purchase was a wise one. YouTube's value is predicated on its traffic and market leadership which Google needs to keep. If they simply agreed to remove all unauthorized content and saddle the user experience with ads YouTube would quickly be a skeleton of its prior self. Users would quickly move to competing sites. The media companies had 50 million reasons to want to help. Google needed a two pronged strategy which you see unfolding now.

The first request was a simple one and that was an agreement to look the other way for the next 6 months or so while copyright infringement continues to flourish. This standstill is cloaked in language about building tools to help manage the content and track royalties, some of which is true but also G knows that every day they can operate in the shadows of copyright law is another day that YouTube can grow. It should be noted that Google video is a capable YouTube competitor with the ONE big difference being a much more sincere effort to not post unauthorized works - and Google fully appreciates what a difference that makes. So you can continue to find movie clips, TV show segments and just about every music video on YouTube today.

The second request was to pile some lawsuits on competitors to slow them down and lock in YouTube's position. As Google looked at it they bought a 6 month exclusive on widespread video copyright infringement. Universal obliged and sued two capable YouTube clones Bolt and Grouper. This has several effects. First, it puts enormous pressure on all the other video sites to clamp down on the laissez-faire content posting that is prevalent. If Google is agreeing to remove unauthorized content they want the rest of the industry doing the same thing. Secondly it shuts off the flow of venture capital investments into video firms. Without capital these firms can't build the data centers and pay for the bandwidth required for these upside down businesses.

There are some interesting chapters yet to unfold. One is how much of this will become public. Google is required by the SEC to disclose material financial developments at their company. Working in Google's advantage is their enormous market capitalization and revenues will give them considerable leeway to claim that a 50 million transaction is not significant to their business. If the other video sites have the wherewithal to put up a legal fight any decent attorney will demand access to YouTube acquisition documents. Expect a claim of collusion between Google and the media companies as a defense strategy.

Infringement lawsuits will be served on YouTube and the new proud parent Google in the coming months. Google will respond with two paths: an expensive legal fight or a quick and easy settlement with most choosing the latter. Are there any larger copyright holders such as music publishers, movie studios, or unlicensed record label EMI that put up a fight rather than accepting the check? If this can bring about the investigation to the deaths of 2000+ people in NYC that day and end the misery of the victims and the questions within the nation, I will have more riches than any man could count.? Rick Siegel at letsroll911.org forums

With the release of my works alongside that of researchers from around the globe this last 911 anniversary in New York City a wave has been building. My pleasure in providing my raw footage from that day to the truth seekers is only overshadowed by the same feelings I had posting them that morning of September 11, 2001 on the OnlineTV.com web site.

The raw digital video shows all too clearly problems that have never been answered in the government?s restricted investigation into their own inability to communicate effectively enough to protect the country. That is the only real job they are supposed to be doing and they are too busy playing games. That is a crime against all Americans. It is an affront to the memory of the 2000+ human beings that perished that their deaths were not investigated with the same fervor that any mass murder might get. In fact, what we got were the bizzaro worlds version of how to conduct a murder investigation.

Portland Independent Media Awards

911 Eyewitness DVD Documentary of the Year.

9/11"truthseeker" Oscars 2005

Best 9/11 'documentary' of the year:
See the awards list

Tags:

Rick Siegel | 911 | 911 Eyewitness | 911Eyewitness | 911Eyewitness DVD | 911eyewitness | 911 eyewitness | best documentary | Best Documentary | Oscars | Portland Independent Media Awards | Portland Independent | oscar | oscars

Other Links:

Ricks Web Site

911 Eyewitness The real Eyewitness story!

Free OnlineTV Media Player 2.8 - THIS WEEK FREE!

This week we want to remind you go downloads the new OnlineTV Media Player 2.8!

This player has so much including all the latest audio codecs and video codecs so that you don't need to keep going around to get them. Taking their act from the Bull and Gate in the early days and moving to the other OnlineTV venue, 12Bar Club in Soho. No one knows if OnlineTV has any of that footage, but 12 Bar was one of their broadcast venues too. With everyone comparing Keane to Coldplay, who resided on the same Fierce Panda Records, or Radiohead in the early days. . We saw a great 9 minute clip that had some brilliant moments and certainly hope that OnlineTV will release some more of their archives from Keane as well as other great bands.

We heard you guys have some unseen Handsome Family!

Aah Haa Aardvarks | MusicTV

WebSite Links for this:
OnlineTV | MusicTV | Keane Band Website
Other Tags:
Rick Siegel | Webcasting | OnlineTV Media Player | free onlinetv media player | Online TV | OnlineTV
Other Links:
Quick Ricks Music Pics.

OnlineTV Video Programming on Cell Phones and Broadband

OnlineTV Video Programming
Since 1996

Online TV first ventured into the video streaming for cell phones in 1999 with Pocket Video out of California. At the time the broadband service providers enabling the technology were not available for the company.

As the new century started to blossom the Internet mobile and broadband providers increased their bandwidth and were ready to bring the interactive TV to consumers' handsets, PC's or cellular phone providers. The ease in which it is possible to stream any Windows Media Format file have always been the main reason OnlineTV historically used the Windows Media Player in over 5000 live broadcasts over the web.

Quality, compactness code compression for transmission, and transparency of process for the consumer all added up to a win for Windows Media Player technologies.

OnlineTV is a website that has been broadcasting and bringing unique and new entertainment to the Internet since 1996. It does not use, and is not part of RealNetwork's Helix OnlineTV and deplore the use of our US Registered Trademark in their name and promotion.

It also does not amuse us at all that Google has done the same with Google OnlineTV. Google seems to have used its gross power to obliterate the onlinetv.com URL from its engine in the same time fram as launching these transgressions on the OnlineTV Registered Trademark. The Trademark OnlineTV is for broadcasting entertainment over global networks. These actions are diluting the mark and has forced us to move our signature website from http://www.onlinetv.com/ to http://www.onlinetv.us on our 10th year anniversary.

Visit the new OnlineTV website and promote your band, list your website in the free web links or download a concert, legal music file, find a live video feed or read an interesting perspective on the news.
Dont let them have their way with the little guys.

Other Tags:
Rick Siegel | Webcasting | OnlineTV Media Player

Google OnlineTV Exiled on Main Street Banned & Censored

Is your Website Banned from Google?

OnlineTV is banned by Google. Here is information I learned, links to help, forums to join and other sundries to help you along your way to reconciliation in the event your site becomes subjected to Google abuse.

OK, you wake up and you noticed a drop in traffic and revenues, so you look to the advertising and the 3 big directories, MSN, Yahoo and Google. You soon notice that Google referrals are either tapering off or non-existent. You search and find various things. I am not going to cover anything here about sites that are listed and how to get higher up, that is in the forums I list at the bottom. I am going to cover the banned sites. The ones in the gun sights of Google. So here are Google returns on banned sites:

This first example is the Google return for a site Google wants to penalize and be very mean to. You will find no results for such a transgressor; you will find no link returns to, or from, this URL. The only returns will come from sites that specifically mention the URL or had a link to you in real body content. Even then, Google will try to put other results higher in the listings it presents. A manual input for this is needed and it is intentional punishment taken on Goggle's part?

Sorry, no information is available for the URL onlinetv.com/nuke

Find web pages that contain the term "onlinetv.com/nuke"

(Note they do not penalize legitimate sites that wrote or linked to you)
This is for a site that banned for lesser infractions, but banned nonetheless. You will not find results in the Google returns at all. You are banned, but for stuff you can fix and get back with a message to reinstate the site:

Sorry, no information is available for the URL onlinetv.com

Find web pages from the site onlinetv.com

Find web pages that contain the term "onlinetv.com"

(Note how they will allow page lookup on the URL even though they have banned the site ? this is an indication that another URL in the hierarchy has caused the issues, but this one has problems too)

Sorry, no information is available for the URL www.onlinetv.com/fotoz

If the URL is valid, try visiting that web page by clicking on the following link: www.onlinetv.com/fotoz

Find web pages that contain the term www.onlinetv.com/fotoz

(Note how they will allow the URL hot linked? Possible reasons for exclusion are to pressure the main URL to conform. Or it may just be Goggle?s inability to program correctly and allow non-offending sites their listing.)
Now a truly unknown, never listed before site would look like this:

Sorry, no information is available for the URL whatthehelliswrongwithyoucantevenfindmeonasearch.com

If the URL is valid, try visiting that web page by clicking on the following link: whatthehelliswrongwithyoucantevenfindmeonasearch.com

Find web pages from the site whatthehelliswrongwithyoucantevenfindmeonasearch.com

Find web pages that contain the term "whatthehelliswrongwithyoucantevenfindmeonasearch.com"

(Note the three bullet points of a true page never been listed. Nice virgin site. Why not register that name today?)

Now, from this you know if you are truly banned, sent to your room without your meal, or just not done your homework to get listed.
If you, as I found myself, on the sad end of the whipping stick, then you have some long road to recovery ahead and you will wish you only had the 12 Step Program to follow because the road ahead has no road maps.

While I will continue to write about my efforts and their results in this creative web series, I will also be inspecting the political connections of Google and their crushing of the onlinetv.com web site. Today we find out our real condition, a nice starting point. For me, I am banned, how about you. Next I will show you what the problem areas are.

You can start now by going to the following sites and participating in their forums. There are a lot of great minds in there and you can find some talent to help and even hire when you need that drastic or fantastic overhaul.
Sites for Web Search Engine Optimization and Help in General (these are the pros!) The Rolling Stones have even lent their name to the product.

In this onslaught, the difficulties of maintaining the OnlineTV mark, both Google and RealNetworks seem hell-bent on OnlineTV Trademark dilution and blocking legitimate users from finding the real leader in broadband broadcast over the Internet, through google searches. OnlineTV.com has not been searched or reachable from google since 1 day before the Helix OnlineTV announcement.

With the first broadcast of java video marked as March 26, 1996 Rick Siegel brought OnlineTV to the historic first of broadband without plug-in or external programs. Using a simple java push you needed a T1 (1meg) to get full 24fps real motion, but Siegel was delivering it in 1996 without the help of Windows Media, who was a year out, and Real, which barely started its audio program at the time. But Siegel saw the future and brought OnlineTV for broadband to the Internet. By 1998 OnlineTV for broadband was in London doing live broadcast from the famous 12 Bar in Soho and The Bull and Gate in Kentishtown.

Today, OnlineTV is recovering from stolen servers and bringing its new site online. Go and visit them at http://www.onlinetv.com/nuke/ while they rebuild for the future.

Other links:
Online TV | OnlineTV | More blogs about OnlineTV
RealNetworks | Webcasting | Helix OnlineTV | Helix
More blogs about Online TV

Helix RealNetworks and Google Crush OnlineTV

OnlineTV suffered another day at the hands of Google as RealNetworks takes the domainant position on the OnlineTV searches. You want the mark, you know how to buy it.

Watch for further details at Onlinetv.com

Other links:
Online TV
OnlineTV
More blogs about OnlineTV.
RealNetworks
Webcasting
Helix OnlineTV
Google

Google Onslaught Continues - OnlineTV.com

OnlineTV has been crippled in its expansion as Google hits the URL with a huge block. Is this an attempt by Google to raise the revenues of it’s advertisers or is someone twisting Goggle’s arm to censor an established free mass media site?

OnlineTV is an Internet webcasting and entertainment portal that has been online since 1996. While getting ready to celebrate 10 years on the Internet, a feat few websites can claim, Google has decided to eliminate, block and eradicate the site, all its sub sites and anything with the url onlinetv.com in it. This is an unprecedented action on the part of Google and far from their claims that everything is done by friendly robots.

Here are some of the interesting blocks put up to stop you from getting to OnlineTV. The service Furl will not let you bookmark any site with onlinetv.com in it. A search at Google will produce no information and no working links that have onlinetv.com in them. When you search for a domain that never existed like pnaccsucks.com this is what you get:

Sorry, no information is available for the URL pnaccsucks.com
· If the URL is valid, try visiting that web page by clicking on the following link: pnaccsucks.com
· Find web pages from the site pnaccsucks.com
· Find web pages that contain the term "pnaccsucks.com"
When you search for OnlineTV.com you get:

Sorry, no information is available for the URL onlinetv.com
· Find web pages from the site onlinetv.com
· Find web pages that contain the term "onlinetv.com"

Notice the difference? Try the results and you will see there is no onlinetv.com in their links; they only link to the 2000 odd sites that have links to us or spam our name for their own traffic.

We cannot think this was an innocent robot dropping a site. This is a lot of sites, 1000’s of pages and a 10 year old website with a long and outstanding history. What gives Google? Who put the screw to you?

Other links:
Online TV
OnlineTV
More blogs about OnlineTV.
Television
Webcasting
Google

OnlineTV Provides Video Programming

OnlineTV provides video programming, news, live events and information over global, WiFi, wireless and virtual networks. I received and email from a fan that told me that OnlineTV did not exist on the Google search engine anymore. I was not amused. Going to google and searching for “Onlinetv produced no relevant results! This was incredible.

An MSN search was much more what it had been.

For almost all our 9 years here on the Internet, webcasting events from around the world. Goggle had us as the first non-paid entry followed by 100’s of other page results from our site all the years Google has been around. Today I did not find anything relevant at all. The only result was OnlineTV 2, which recently worked a deal with us to market their OnlineTV Player. I searched for “Online TV which usually resulted in being at least listed on the first page. Nada. I finally searched for “onlinetv.com and came up as non-existent. This search always produced my sites and all the searches produced 100’s of relevant links to my sites. Now, nothing. As if OnlineTV never existed.

Well, we know we own the US Registered Trademark for the name, and have always owned the domain OnlineTV.com since it existed. It has been highly listed on Google since day one of Google, as it is the relevant return of a search for this keyword "onlinetv". So what has changed?

OnlineTV has recently added articles by its founder Rick Siegel about 911. It has been only a couple weeks and this strange event happens. We don’t know why Google took us from existence. Our site is fine, it contains no abuse, no illegal content, we are the Trademark owners; header tags are fine, yet without notice we are wiped from the largest search engine in the world. This after being here for 9+ years!

We encourage you to go to Google and search for “onlinetv then go to the bottom of the page where it says “Dissatisfied? Help us improve and tell them you can’t get a relevant return on their search. Explain that it is easy to find multiple relevant returns on your search from MSN and the site is not listed anywhere on Google. It does not even exist as “OnlineTV.com. For the space to fill in the proper URL to be returned; put our main site "http://www.onlinetv.com/nuke" and let’s hope that somehow our listing shall return to the world.

This is a travesty and should be remedied quickly.

Other links:
Television
Webcasting
Google
Games
More blogs about OnlineTV.

Today OnlineTV Networks has finished their lastest touches on the Forum section on this site. California banned the use of Diebold machines because the
security was so bad. Despite Diebold's claims that the audit logs
could not be hacked, a chimpanzee was able to do it!
