Google Onslaught Continues - OnlineTV.com

OnlineTV has been crippled in its expansion as Google hits the URL with a huge block. Is this an attempt by Google to raise the revenues of it’s advertisers or is someone twisting Goggle’s arm to censor an established free mass media site?

OnlineTV is an Internet webcasting and entertainment portal that has been online since 1996. While getting ready to celebrate 10 years on the Internet, a feat few websites can claim, Google has decided to eliminate, block and eradicate the site, all its sub sites and anything with the url onlinetv.com in it. This is an unprecedented action on the part of Google and far from their claims that everything is done by friendly robots.

Here are some of the interesting blocks put up to stop you from getting to OnlineTV. The service Furl will not let you bookmark any site with onlinetv.com in it. A search at Google will produce no information and no working links that have onlinetv.com in them. When you search for a domain that never existed like pnaccsucks.com this is what you get:

Sorry, no information is available for the URL pnaccsucks.com
· If the URL is valid, try visiting that web page by clicking on the following link: pnaccsucks.com
· Find web pages from the site pnaccsucks.com
· Find web pages that contain the term "pnaccsucks.com"
When you search for OnlineTV.com you get:

Sorry, no information is available for the URL onlinetv.com
· Find web pages from the site onlinetv.com
· Find web pages that contain the term "onlinetv.com"

Notice the difference? Try the results and you will see there is no onlinetv.com in their links; they only link to the 2000 odd sites that have links to us or spam our name for their own traffic.

We cannot think this was an innocent robot dropping a site. This is a lot of sites, 1000’s of pages and a 10 year old website with a long and outstanding history. What gives Google? Who put the screw to you?
